Festival Season - Video2

Celebration with Turmeric Water

We used to tribute our god in various ways:

* Turmeric Sprinkles
* Sandal Sprinkles
* Mulapari
* Flower Pot

Here we can see the video related with turmeric sprinkles celebration. Its basically celebrated by men wishing their dreams to come true and its mark of respect to God who adhere their dreams to come true.

Even though we say its a tribute, its fundamentally to wipe out the enmity, sorrows and worries from their heart and make themselves free from everything in the name of festival. So one should come here to know the basic culture of south India and I hope you would agree too.

History:
Bro James Kimpton started St. Joseph's Boys Village, at Genguvarpatti, in Periakulam Taluk, about 40 miles from Madurai. On 20th May 1974, the first group of poor junior boys were accommodated. There were about fifty boys including the families of the staff members, lived as one family. They had a common kitchen and had their meals together. Royalty of Genguvarpatti

I am very much proud to say the following fact is the royalty of my village. May be guys seeing fights between in and around India, but my village is the example to show how people should live.

Mostly the people here are Hindu's and proportionately we can see Muslim people here.The fact is that we live here without any misunderstandings and without any complexities. This is not for an year or so, we are mutually related with each other for more than 400 years.

The temple and mosque are closely related to each other in the center of the village.During the festive hours of Hindu people, we can see Muslim people enjoying the festival with more enthusiasm and at the same we can see Hindu people in the homes of Muslim people in all celebrations like Ramzaan,Bakrid and all special days.

And i am very much glad to say we are the people who live as an example for others. We share our happiness, entertaining moments, sadness, miserable events and all the things that are to share.If you people get a chance to visit my village then you are always welcome!!!
