Festival Season - Video2

Celebration with Turmeric Water

We used to tribute our god in various ways:

* Turmeric Sprinkles
* Sandal Sprinkles
* Mulapari
* Flower Pot

Here we can see the video related with turmeric sprinkles celebration. Its basically celebrated by men wishing their dreams to come true and its mark of respect to God who adhere their dreams to come true.

Even though we say its a tribute, its fundamentally to wipe out the enmity, sorrows and worries from their heart and make themselves free from everything in the name of festival. So one should come here to know the basic culture of south India and I hope you would agree too.

Helping hands of Genguvarpatti

History:
Bro James Kimpton started St. Joseph's Boys Village, at Genguvarpatti, in Periakulam Taluk, about 40 miles from Madurai. On 20th May 1974, the first group of poor junior boys were accommodated. There were about fifty boys including the families of the staff members, lived as one family. They had a common kitchen and had their meals together. Thus the environment of a Boys Home was maintained. Initially the boys were trained in agricultural farming, animal husbandry, and rural industries.
